movie and applebee

Last Saturday was not unusual. Movies again. I completed my 4 movie quota. The free lunch on a birthday party didn't stopped me with my new addiction. At least this is for the "industry".

My first movie is the Prestige starring Hugh Jackman (aka Wolverine in X-men). Its about two magician who had been competing with each other in pursuing fame and perfecting new tricks for their show. This is a good movie. Innovative and surprising. Hugh is a great actor. He was able to lift this movie beyond mediocrity. Search for the true magic in this movie.

Second show is by Kirsten Dunst in Marie Antoinette. This is like a lavish fashion show slash MTV. The plot is horrible. Actually I'm still figuring what the story is all about. History tells me Marie Antoinette is insignificant in Europe's biography. I don't even remember reading about her. Ya, I like the name but it just remains a beautiful name. This movie is like Paris Hilton. A very likable, moronic beautiful girl in a well-dressed gown by Michael Kors. This is a complete waste of time and money. I don't even believe i'm writing about it. Next before I slash my wrist!

At last something funny. I watched "Man of the year" by Robin Williams. He's so hilarious. The first 5 minutes I'm out of my seat laughing. This movie is so timely in US because the Americans are going to have their elections two weeks from now. An eye opener. See, satire is the best weapon to punish the government and wake the apathy of people. Ibalik ang "Abangan ang susunod na Kabanata!" Remember this show?

Last stop is titled "Flags of our Fathers". Americans are truly addicted to war. The movie was about the picture of six soldiers raising the flag on Japanese soil (Mount Suribachi) during WWII. It signified victory for the Americans which what all they need at that time. Victory and superiority. Fuck them! .. wait I forgot this movie is a gay movie. Watch out for the swimming soldiers in boxers briefs. hahahaha Di ko ma-connect bat ganun ang ending? Are you suppose to watch this? ummm... for the ending and ryan philippe's eye brow.. go ahead!

applebee.. restaurant that's sounds like jollibee. They serve beer and burgers created by Bobby Flay. I need a drink! Who dont?
